CS> What, you didnt know this? LOL! I lost a 17yo rescue a bit ago (we knew he CS> didnt have long but needed a final home). I've been doing cats since 1978. Glad to know the 17 y/o had a good home at the end. On 19 Oct, Molly, the older tabby I adopted at the shelter in 1998, turned 18 and on 22 Oct went to Rainbow Bridge. People always want cute little kittens and puppies, while older animals who have lost a home for any number of reasons, wait in hopes of being adopted. They are happy to have a home they can't contain themselves. All the critters I've had over the years have been lost/abandoned/ unwanted/stray animals. Two were adopted from the shelter. Blanche, the current one, was a stray, as was one in the 70s. A co-worker, who lives in the country, has I don't know how many animals of all sorts. People seem to think if they drop an animal in the country they will find a home. Most often they starve since they can't fend for themselves for any number of reasons. But so many seem to find their way to Bev's place. Its like they have the old hobo signs they leave behind. "This certain house has a lady who will feed you and find you a home". :) CS> Daisy-chan, cat, feral estimated 6 years feral of her estimated age. Molly had been listed as having problems not using the litter box. I rarely had trouble with her, unless she wasn't feeling well. She did have a delicate tummy, and it took a while to find what she could eat without problems. Blanche, OTOH, will eat anything that doesn't eat her first. All your critters sound delightful and glad they now have good homes!
