SD>I can usually handle the springs, 72 degrees but 10
SD>degrees less has a real chill to it.
Except for just a few occassions when I absolutely
had to get in the water with a class on a "bitterly"
cold South Florida day, I haven't dove in anything
less than 70 degree water in over five years.
SD>We went out again Sat the first and used your
SD>theory by pre heating our wet suits.
Sure gets some curious looks from people when you open
up a Hefty trashbag full of steaming-hot wetsuits. :)
SD>It did take some of the shock out of that water
SD>invasion on my private parts, but after 40 minutes
SD>the first dive and only making thirty minutes the
SD>second, 61 degrees may be to cold for diving.
One learns quite quickly that certain motions, such as
arching the back, are definately not a good idea in cold
water!
