subject: Things a Sysop Needs or not?

KD> Would the difference in price be worth not having FAX?
No, not really. Fax would only make a few dollars worth of difference, if
any. It doesn't take much to make a Data modem a fax modem, as there are
only a few changes nessisary between Data and Fax, just an extra bit of
programming for the DSP.

I am a Sysop, and I use the Fax quite a bit. My modem is set to answer in
adaptive mode so that People can Fax anyone in my family on my BBS line. It
is quite handy. I just use BGfax. For me, I don't see the point of not
having fax mode, it justs adds value to the modem without excesivly affecting
the price (When 2400s became Fax Modem, the prices did not go up).
