 -> Mike I have asked a question on this echo befor and have gotten no
 -> answer at all. I have a Hayes modem a 2400 one that was new when I
 -> got it for my IBM XT. It calls out but will not finish the hand
 -> shaking to let one call out. I guess no one uses a Slow Hayes modem
 -> any more. I do have a 1200 that works Great.

     Which modems are you calling into when you see this problem, and which
     Hayes 2400 do you have?  If you can list the model # and version this
     will help.  For some reason I never saw any messages from you in
     here previously.
