Hi Julia:
Thanks for your confidence in me and my polar fleece. I have made a second
top, and managed to mess it up some, but not quite "sew" bad. I think I
managed to make mistakes in nearly every part of its construction. But I
still have my third piece in reserve.
I ended up cutting the neck on the second top two or three times, taking
care of minor mistakes, and raising the shoulders about 2-3 inches. The
sleeve cap is still down a couple of inches from where I would like it, but
it is wearable at least. I ended up adding a bit to the neck on the pattern
so the vneck wasn't so big, and didn't take if off at the shoulder/armseyce
(sp). I have remedied that, and now am trying to get up the nerve to try
again on the third piece.
Wish me luck - I am going by one of the hotels (about 1.5 miles from the
house) to drop off my resume. They are advertising for a human resources
assistant, and that is my area of expertise. I am relatively happy where I
am, but it would be nice to work closer if possible and if they would pay
more! DH thinks it is a wise idea to start putting feelers out.
Teresa
