I doubt very seriously whether it would make any difference given the
traffic for most users, and if you turn it off, even temporarily, we can
make sure what the problem is.  fwiw, Vista may have the same problem
downloading from your server. Vista also has problems with local routers
that corrupt that part of the stream, so I'd like to see if it makes any
difference.
