Dear Pat,
Thanks for the suggestion [re. sewing machine] but it is such a pile
of junk, i doubt it would care. 8^). No, actually, it behaved pretty
well except for running the bobbins out of thread much too fast. You
see, it doesn't 'do' bobbins, so if i want to refill them, i have to
drag out still another junker. I got 8 game carrying bags done and a
few leather beverage carriers finished before the last of the 3
prewound bobbins ran out.
I am now sanding and gluing madly on the games themselves. Now there
is a question whether i will go to Gulf Wars at all. Last summer i
went to an event at a considerable distance [ as this one will be ]
without a partner able to help me drive, set up etc.. When i got home,
i swore a swear that i would never do that again. Now i may learn slow,
but i do learn! It seems that because of the cost of boarding the
dogs, my soul sister Anne, will not be able to go with me. That leaves
me partenerless again. Maybe i can find someone else to partner me.
We'll see.
Did you finish your project? It is so satisfying to be able to see
something that is actually done and in use.
                               Shalom, ll
