Hello All!
As those who participated in the 1997 Fido Joint Christmas Ornament Exchange
may remember, part of our Christmas Ornament exchange last year was to help
decorate a tree for the Mary Bridge Children's Hospital Festival of Trees. 
he
total number of ornaments received from the Fido Echo participants was
somewhere around 100 ornaments total including the numerous extra ornaments
that I sent.  While I do not have full particulars in how much the tree we
helped to decorate sold for here is a clip of a message that was sent ...

"I received a post from the Festival of Trees committee. I'm not sure how
much our tree went for, but overall $405,000 was raised to support health
care programs and treatment's for children in this area.
For all of those who helped or support, Bravo! You dun good. Sometimes 
lighting
your one little candle 'can' help dispel the darkness."

Ladies, as I recall the year prior $360,000 was raised.  This is an increase 
of
$45,000 !!!
There are going to be some really blessed kids, and parents out there because
of all the effort that each of the participants here made!  You have truly 
made
a difference in the lives of many, many children.  Let's start thinking about
this year and see what we can come up with!
