   You'll have the same problem with the 2040 and 2046...you've just got to 
bite the bullet and buy TripleConversion if a clear/clean signal is 
important, especially in the 800Mhz bands.

    I live about 1.5 miles from I-75...I don't hear anything from the
CB on my 2004,2006,2035...that is what I call "not swift"  :)

   Yep, the current GRE is the 2042, 1000ch (no cell)...but the 2035 
(original GRE 1000ch) is on sale for 329.97 (closeout) and from what I've 
seen it can be unlocked with a computer and software
   I'll let you know if I see a 2004/5/6 in good shape used...
