Actually I would recommend KDE over GNOME for anyone used to the
Windows desktop. While GNOME has been designed around some usability
principles and other, and it may be very well suited for a user who
has *never* worked with computers, I think KDE's workings are more
straight-forward for people coming from win32 world.

You could say that GNOME is about simplicity, and KDE is about
options. That, and the fact that it resembles more a Windows desktop.

Criticisms are welcome, flames are not :)
