I have the distinct impression (opinion) people want to dismiss pollution as having ANY effect on the environment. This is called denial. Recently was published an article (posted here btw) about how the deep waters which used to be cooler as you went deeper, of areas such as the Straits of Florida are warming (at deeper levels). When A hurricane passes over this area, the warmer waters cause the hurricane to hovers and gathers strength. (I'll have to review that article but it clearly stated how pollution does contribute to that warming.)
