Your Jendays are wild caught and they come out to see you? My cherries
are imports, and they HATE me. The mere sight of their room door opening
sends them into their box screaming. The male will come out during
breeding season to try to amputate my arms as I feed and water them.
Other than that, to see them, I have to drive them from the box for
visual inspections.
But my Jendays, well that's another story. During the off-season, both
of them like me, and will come out to cuddle; they have to come out
together, but they come out. During breeding, one or the other will
*sometimes* come out, depending on what I'm doing, or if it looks like
they can get into someone else's food dishes. But I take my chances on
Paco, the male, suddenly remembering that I'm the enemy and removing a
fingernail or two, so I handle him with care during egg season. Rio will
come out to cuddle, but only for a few seconds before she remembers that
she's supposed to be incubating eggs...
