Hello Fred!
On Saturday April 08 1995, Fred Brucker scribed the following words onto a 
parchment scroll and magically transported it to Doug White:
 FB> There are different levels of file information that can be supplied
 FB> in Zmodem (and in Ymodem).  The minimum is just the filename -- no
 FB> size.  The maximum includes the file size and the number of files
 FB> remaining in the batch (plus total remaining bytes).
That's what I thought.  :-)
 FB> {COMMO} makes the best use of whatever information is provided.
That's what I thought too.  :-)  I will do some more research.  I haven't 
done an sz transfer lately, and I don't remember exactly what info is 
provided.
One other thing...during the transfers with unix sz, the number of files 
remaining gives a strange value around 33,000.
