Replying to a message from Dallas Hinton 1:153/715 to Bob Seaborn, About Time zone info, On Mon May 15 2006 DH> I still HATE daylight saving time, though (actually, it's just the DH> changing I hate -- I really don't care what time the world thinks it DH> is, just leave it alone! ) Daylight Saving time IMO is redundant and archaic, go to standard and leave alone. It was originally set up to help farmers get on the fields earlier, and save energy, but all is outdated now with farm machinery that can operate twenty four hours per day with the aid of their lights, hence no energy saved. Also another side note the US National Safety Council did a study years ago , which still stands that there is more accidents for the first four days after the time change, both spring and fall. I guess to eliminate it we need to lobby our politicians, as useless as they are. Hope this helps. Keep us posted. We are a fine board trying to make it better. http://www.pris.bc.ca/ghannah ghannah{at}pris.bc.ca Cheers!
