Since you're keeping score, count me a firm nay. A third
R/C related echo would be utterly pointless.

KB>I just saw a message that the RCM echo may fall off Fido Backbone

Agreed!

KB>I'm new to RC planes having burned a total of only 1.5 gallons of
KB>fuel in my Tower Trainer 40.

I also purchased the Tower Trainer 40. I've had a LOT of fun with it!
It's a very nice plane. I've only got a few minor complaints about it
(a subject to be saved for another day!). I've run a couple of gallons
of fuel through it, which is quite a bit since the Tower ABC 40 engine
that I got with the plane isn't much of a fuel hog.

KB> Lately I've been practicing touch and go's and have improved my
KB> landing technique to the point that I only have to straighten the
KB> nosewheel strut after every 4th or 5th landing.

That's one of my complaints....the landing gear is a little flimsy. On
a trainer, that just should NOT be the case! In fact, my gear has quite
a wobble to it right now.

KB> Unfortunately I augered-in the trainer the other day so I'm

I did that too...I almost trashcanned it, but my buddy said that we
could fix it. We did, and it flys just as good as before! A little
heavier from the glue, but still not bad. :)

I have two other planes. A 4-40 (don't know the brand) and a Kavalier.
The 4-40 is an Intermediate Trainer. I'm going to start flying that as
soon as I can get some new pushrods in it for the elevator and rudder.
You see, I bout the 4-40 and the Kavalier used from a friend at work.
Both were hardly used (in fact, I don't think the Kavalier has had ANY
air time!) so I'm quite excited to fly them!

What a fun hobby! Too bad that mother nature has to ruin the fun so
much (wind, rain & snow!).

Good luck!
