I've never had a reason to care.

FM> set Start to the arg
FM> if Start is less than 0 set it to 0
FM> if Start is greater than the filesize set it to the filesize
FM> seek to Start

File size would require another seek, and of course you need to
check errors from these things.  My way was less code basically.
