Some senseless babbling from Leonard Erickson to All

First, the viewer program is actually a class method, which is present for
all image classes (MMJPG, MMBMP, MMGIF, etc.). They're WPS classes, and
their method code is in DLL's (GIFPROC.DLL, PCXPROC.DLL, etc.).

The problem you have is probably bad JPEG files. The viewer method isn't
very robust, and will crash on bad data.

I use PMJPEG for viewing images, personally. Others prefer PMView (which
is certainly a good program).

To use other programs, you'll need to either use the context menu, or
download a patch (primgfix.zip) that patches the WPS to nix the viewer
methods. Originally, you couldn't even change the default action from
those methods, and the "fix" requires that you modify each file
individually. Another workaround is to change the object class of the
images from MM* to WPDataFile (from the Become menu page).
