Hi Gary,

   Quoting: Gary Baumgartner to All
 Date/Time: 01-Oct-03 / 22:00:16
   Subject: NOTICE:

GB> I have been receiving some un necessary HIGH-ASCII NETMAIL from
GB> different e-mail addresses. Basically classified as "SPAM" mail.
GB> and we're talking a lot of SPAM mail recently. its un-readable
GB> and useless messages being sent.

But not only "SPAM"
Also virus infected gated e-mails!!

GB> Does anyone have any information on person(s) that might make it
GB> his\hers agenda to use the Fido-Net Nodelist to establish an email
GB> address to send useless mail?

GB> Fido-Net Zone 1 Gateway believes majority of the spam mail
GB> originates outside the ZONE 1 area. within ZONE 2 arena.

The next 2 (28 parts) netmails (I deleted most stuff) did I receive.

! Both original e-mails (virus infected with attached *.exe files) !

I found several times in my e-mail IN-BOX (NO, I'm not infected;-)

Today I got these via netmail (unreadable) also.
It's obvious they are gated to fido by 2:5037/21
