The BBS idea of starting with the Ed Parry BBS program sounds like a winner.  
FWIW, I would like to change my vote, like Bob Dole did, to the side of the 
winners so I can bring up the DataBase project again, later  BTW, is there 
known to mankind (which includes women) a Communication program like Ed's BBS 
which is also Public Domain and written in PowerBasic?  I have always wanted 
to "mess around" with screens and features, but I do not have the tech 
expertise to get in there with the 16550 vs the 16450 UART features, etc.
