One Redwoods forest is on the coast way north of San Francisco...much farther 
than we are going. Calaveras Big Trees is another redwoods grove. The other 
main groves are in the south end of Yosemite (we've been) and in Sequoia Natl 
Park (south of Yosemite)...places we'd rather not go in the heighth of summer 
like that (too many people).
