Hey guys, pretty quiet out there. The old internet has really taken its
bite out of fido. Any ways, back to topic. A couple of weeks ago, a
buddy of mine went diving in the hood canal in washington state. Water
was COLD!!! But the vis was an acceptable 20ft, and life was plentiful.
We saw several huge octopus, 4 wolf eels, thousands of crab, oysters,
scallops and fish. Wish people came with thicker skin, and the navy
would consider insulating blubber as acceptable. I have to keep myself
"trim" and that means cold in cold water... Ohwell, you gotta love it.
Bottom time usually isn't limited by air or tables, but by resistance to
cold. When you lips are numb and you can't feel the reg anymore, it's
time to leave. That's usually about 20-30 minutes. Happy diving. Later.
Sean.
