When last I read, Robert Stark was typing this to Steve Sorenson about

One reason is convenience. The server is in a remote part of the
building (about 2 blocks away) , and I frequently get asked to
restore files (usually a blown up MS-Access dbase), and it's a pain to
do from the console.
The other reason has to do with my not caring for loading more NLMs
than I need to. Just a personal thing, really.
