Only because I once knew a woman who suffered from the disorder
and had spoken to my sister about her.
My sister is one of a very few therapists that will take on
such difficult cases in this area..

I wouldn't know frompersonal experience but only that of Donna, her 
sister and reading.
Neither Donna nor her sister brought any abuse to their one child (
Donna's)

They expresses their behavior in self destructive behavoir
and as I said Disassociative Personality Disorder.
Both are now deceased.

I have the greatest respect for my sister her having graduated 
with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

That you can even _think_ of the remark you make above it
suggests it was perhaps you that had unfortunate 
experiences in your childhood.
