I take it that this Alaskan posts on Doc's Place?  When Fidonet dies in
Alaska in 1997-8, I suggested that as an option to a number of longtime
participants in this echo but they never checked in.  One even went as far
as to tell me that he wasn't ready to identify himself on a service like
Doc's Place.  I still shake my head.:-)

We've had a couple of regional independents from Alaska in Region 17 over
the last decade but they have never stayed around long.
