I can barely afford suburban Detroit. I think for a while yet, Hawaii
will continue to be one of those dream places I go to only in travel

I should study more about Hawaii--right off hand, I can't think of any
native birds from there, except the Nene goose.

I understand that it's an ideal place to set up an aviary, climate-wise.
I doubt my birds will ever get to see it either.
