To all who replied. I have found out that according to my ISP who uses
the phone co. SPRINT; that the problem is within the phone system. I was
always under the impression that the internet could still operate under
a nuclear attack, therefore the routers would connect to what ever means
were still available. Seems that if one phone co. goes out, the service
is not provided either.
