I've never flown a gooney....went to the ground school and then my company 
went belly up....but my dad has a lot of time in them and said they were very 
forgiving aircraft.  I just wonder if that one you had so much trouble with 
was rigged out of whack or possibly had a dragging brake, etc.
Was this your experience in all gooneys, or are you basing your statement on 
the experience of just that one?  I know you have extensive flight 
experience, but I'm not sure how it's spread around.  It's been rumored that 
you've been flying ever since Moby dick was a minnow.  :)
