ET> I just checked all the links in the S&T newsletter I posted today. I ET> did not see anything that would block a person who was not a paid ET> subscriber to the print magazine. Can you tell me how you are being ET> stopped from reading the remaining content of the articles online? I haven't tried lately, and it's possible I'm confusing S&T with SA & AAAS's Science magazine site. The other thing is that I can't just click on a link, this is a DOS/DV offline reader. So links are useless to me. Even if I ran it in a Window instead, it isn't a Netscape 4.05 plugin, so they still wouldn't work. One of the lessons I've taken from the MSIE/Outlook virus problems is that security is enhanced if one doesn't make seamless interfaces. I continue to keep this DOS/W31 system running for this purpose, and also to run my Juno v1.39 email client. It does a strict packet download- upload operation. It doesn't do HTML, MIME, or attachments. There's no way someone can even send me an HTML message with a pixel bug that reveals that the message was even delivered. So I'm not likely to change the setup I use. ... Why is it "a pair of pants" when it's all one piece? ___ MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.35 ---* Origin: The Bare Bones BBS (1:105/360) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 105/360 106/2000 633/267 |
