What, the old V.fast modem "standard" also known as v.fc? V.Fast/V.fc
was the first try at making 28.8 modems, before the ITU got around to
 approving the V.34 standard. Some older 28.8s are V.fc or V.Fast -I
have one. Worked more or less OK with Maximus. Not really related to the
BBS except that the modem would constantly retrain and hang up on people.
 Maximus survived most of that.
MM> Is it, as they say, even faster than ZModem ??
It's not a file transfer protocol; just an outdated modem protocol.
V.34 has totally replaced it. In my testing, V.fc was slightly faster
than V.34, at the expense of being highly sensitive to any line noise,
and extemely picky about what sort of of modem it would connect and
 stay connected with.
Add up all the hassles and it's just not worth it at all. No way.
