Hello Gregory,

[..]

RS>> I had the same mentality some years ago. A thought made me sick to my
RS>> stomach one day while eating a popular brand of chicken, and I couldn't
RS>> eat flesh for a long, long time. It's become a constant roller coaster
RS>> of an emotional and intellectial battle, dealing with that primal
 RS>> survival need.

"The Carnivore Diet" by Shawn Baker, MD

I have to present a balanced debate on this issue.
And the only way I can do this is with a book review.
I'll keep it short.

Breakfast - Red Meat
Lunch - Red Meat
Supper - Red Meat

That is, in summation, the entire contents of the book.

I have the book on my bookshelf. Not even sure if it can be
found at the local library. Kinda doubt it.

In any event, the author makes it abundantly clear that the
way to stay healthy is to maintain this diet every day of the
week for like, forever.

As a vegan, it would still be necessary for you to eat some
meats, else how would otherwise be able to get enough protein
in order to survive?

For example - cats are obligate carnivores. They have to
have meat in their diet to survive. Otherwise, they will die.
Most horribly. Not a pretty sight.

Hatians found that out. And made them part of their own diet.

1. Prepare animal for cooking as one would for rabbit.

2. Marinate meat in olive oil, lemon juice, and favored
seasonings for a few hours.

3. Bake, grill or fry.

GD> .. Do vegetarians eat animal crackers?

I have watched Texas A&M students feeding LSU's Mike the Tiger
Oreo cookie and tuna fish sandwiches. Partly my fault. Mike was
in his cage, by the football stadium. The students were by his
cage, and had some Oreo cookies on hand.

I was on a bus waiting for the bus driver to show up to
take us all downtown to where our cars were. One of us had
some tuna fish to snack on. We saw the students by the cage,
and we all knew what they were up to. Well, a new tradition
got started on that night.

I gave one of the students the tuna fish. They took turns
putting tuna fish on Oreo cookies and throwing them at the
tiger. Mike loved them. He would have also eaten the students
given the chance, but fortunately there was a cage between
them and him.

Since that fateful night in Baton Rouge, students at Texas A&M
football games can be seen munching on Oreo cookie and tuna fish
sandwiches. Go ahead. Watch for yourself. College Station, TX.
Aggie fans stand up during the entire game, munching on their
favorite sandwiches. If you weren't vegan, you would love them.

For Life,
Lee
