Still trying to set htmlview while running a KDE desktop on Fedora Core 5.
Here's what I've learned so far:

Here's a place in KDE where you can define which browser to use:
    F icon | Control Center | KDE Components | Component Chooser | Web
Browser

But that appears to be specific to KDE components. I think a lot of apps
want to use htmlview.

In Gnome you can go to:
    Desktop > preferences > More Preferences > Preferred Applications

I suspect that changes htmlview. So how to change htmlview if you are
running KDE? Here's where I'm sort of stuck. This link says use
gconf-editor even if you are running KDE and make the change there:

You might have gconf-editor already. It is a Gnome tool. But you may have
it (or can get it).

I looked for it and did not find it by that name. But I did find png files
that suggest I do have it.

I didn't have gconf-editor (or at least not on my path) and so I tried to
yum install it while logged on as root and it went off and did stuff which
did not entirely succeed. So I'm stuck:
