subject: Faulty Courier HST modem

Simon,

As you appear not to have received my routed netmail message to you on
March 6, nor the message I crashed directly to your node on the 12th (or
have chosen to ignore them), I have no option now but to post this message
publicly.

The HST modem which I contracted to purchase from you for $50 plus $10 COD
arrived almost two weeks ago, and whilst I was a little annoyed at having
to pay more than the agreed price ($62.60 to be precise), I was
considerably more annoyed when I found that the modem doesn't work at all,
especially as I had *specifically* requested that you only send it to me if
it was in fully functional working order.

Although it appears that the correct LEDs illuminate, the modem is
otherwise dead, and accepts no external commands whatsoever, and to suggest
that I am unimpressed would be a gross understatement. I would therefore
be extremely interested in your comments on how you intend resolving this
matter.

Bill
