HT>>bbs.sursum-corda.com when I want to go there. ET> Well, I tried to sign up on this BBS. I got to a point where ET> it said it had just two more things to do and I should press ET> Enter. I did so and it appeared to hang up on me. I waited ET> for quite a while then gave up and ended the session. Now I ET> can't get connected again. I've never had anything like that happen to me. His board is always working. On the other hand, he hasn't replied to my request to help you. ET> I'm going to have to agree with ET> what someone else said here recently. The problem with ET> Fidonet in today's world is that it is too hard to use ET> compared with typical GUI systems like Windows and even Linux ET> with a graphic desktop. I don't think it's beyond your abilities to be able to use it. I think you know that. The problem is that it's dying, and there are fewer and fewer reliable boards out there that one can use to connect to it. I've been extremely lucky to have found Bob Juge's board, and it has provided reliable service for me. He doesn't carry PHYSICS, but he does carry SCIENCE. Try him at juge.com. ---* Origin: Office1 (1:106/2000.7) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 106/2000 633/267 |
