I've never had anything like that happen to me.  His board is always
working.  On the other hand, he hasn't replied to my request to help you.

I don't think it's beyond your abilities to be able to use it.  I think you
know that.  The problem is that it's dying, and there are fewer and fewer
reliable boards out there that one can use to connect to it.  I've been
extremely lucky to have found Bob Juge's board, and it has provided
reliable service for me.  He doesn't carry PHYSICS, but he does carry
SCIENCE.  Try him at juge.com.
