I tried the above steps on my Drive C HPFS partition, but it aborted during the commit stage: CVS.EXE [commit aborted]: could not create c:\cvs\spread\fred.c,v: No such file or directory Can't explain this one. "fred.c,v" is a valid HPFS filename.
