There are many parts of Arizona that are gorgeous but you're right, the
same holds trues all over the U.S.

We have cacti in our front and back yards where the flower(s) bloom and
then die the same day/night.  We had a cactus at our old house (I forgot
the name for it) that once its flower blooms, it dies.  Ours, on the
other hand, bloomed but kept on living.  Go figure.. ;-)
