SA> Officials claim in doing so, no one's rights are being violated; but
SA> what if one does not want to show police their driver's license or
SA> happened to have forgotten to bring it with them that day?

I'd bring my lawyer with me, and have a buddy with a video camera some distance
away, and point out that I have a legal RIGHT to be in a public building, and I
likewise have a legal RIGHT to not carry my wallet/ID when I'm not driving!

But all such would do, if there were more than just me doing it would have Bush
& cronies pass a law saying you need to do such. . .
(like Homeland Security, in general)

Isn't it amazing how the airports have increased security in the wake of 9/11?
(well, they bought new uniforms/logos for their crack security team of losers!)

SA> If one refuses to participate by suddenly getting out of line and not
SA> entering the building, will that now be deemed enough probable cause
SA> to get maced in the face and a billy-club across the back of the
SA> knees?

Probably.

SA> And what if authorities deny citizens access to food in supermarkets,
SA> to buy and sell as alluded to in Revelation 13, unless they comply
SA> with draconian identification measures?

Maybe they'll simplify the identification process by implanting a RFID chip in
your wrist, eh?

(so you'll have access even though you might forget/lose your wallet/ID)

SA> In the case of a patriotic woman likened to a new Rosa Parks detained
SA> for refusing to show her ID to Federal Protective Service operatives
SA> while riding on a bus on her way to work through the Lakewood Federal
SA> Center in Colorado, authorities contend that they do not compare these
SA> documents against any watch-list or compile them into a database. Then
SA> why even bother since you are obviously not conducting surveillance

It's called "harrassing the citizens so as to generate a systemic atmosphere
of fear/respect for the new leaders, the police"

SA> Though he does not carry much weight among ruling elites since he is
SA> a dead White male sympathetic to Christianity, Benjamin Franklin said,
SA> "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary
SA> safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

One of my favourite quotes of the USA's Founding Fathers!

SA> Those already conditioned to be good little collectivists will whine,
SA> "What do you have to hide that you can't show your ID." If that is
SA> the case, then what line of reasoning are you going to invoke when
SA> government security agencies insist that cameras and recording devices
SA> must be placed in every home; after all, if you haven't done anything
SA> wrong, what do you have to hide?

If you have a computer, internet, and Windows, you already have the equivalent
of Big Brother Is Watching You in your home!

Because I care,
