I found a useful couple of files that came with my Linux kernel (arcnet.txt 
and arcnet-hardware.txt in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/networking on my 
system) which have a list of cards, jumper settings, cabling technologies, 
building passive hubs, etc..
I like the idea of the fact that it's very reliable, and packets are not 
ost.
And the delay settings so you can have very large networks.
My card has fairly straightforward IRQ and twist/BNC settings, with SMC 
chipset. I think I've worked out most of the other settings, all I need now 
is to hunt around in a few skips/old machines for another card or two ;-)
