Obviously, you're wrong.

The instructions say to make install as root - which I did, and it went on 
to complain that I wasn't msbe user.

So I su'd to msbe and tried to install and it said I wasn't root...or 
something like that. 

Anyway, I ditched it. It was pretty crappy from the looks for it. Linux 
documentation was crap.
