Thanks, I'll take a look at the links you provided.

I've used CDex before, but for the most part, the only time I create mp3's
is when I convert vinyl, and then I use razorlame. I kind of like WMP user
interface, so I am happy to save music as wma files. If I want true high
quality audio, I don't bother with compressed audio at all.
