G'day Lee,

SA>(It's Winter now)

LL> Send some of that cold air over this way! It is steaming hot here!
 LL> And I am roasting! :)

Wow! This is the first wintery winter we've had for 3 years - it's
even been raining in the wheatbelt, & farmers might get a reasonable
harvest.

>LL>Would you rather have tornadoes?

>SA>We rarely get them, & not the devastating US type ones, but there
>SA>are cyclones in the tropics (hurricane).

SA>Not always ... on the "highway" from Northern Territory to
Queensland,
SA>they drive down the white centre lines, because the road is too narrow!
SA>(Or maybe it is to avoid causing tornadoes!)
SA>It's scary when there's a Road Train coming the other way!

LL> When it comes to trains, the train always wins. The other day a
LL> fellow was killed by a train, the poor fellow having fallen asleep
LL> on the railroad tracks. He never knew what hit him. Or in his
LL> case, what ran over him.

I don't know why people sleep on railway lines - an old joke here is
"why don't people sleep on railway lines? Because trains run over
sleepers" (which wouldn't make sense in the US, where sleepers are
ties) - but it happens fairly often.

>LL>Being from Louisiana, I am more concerned about hurricanes rather
>LL>than tornadoes. Especially since 2005, when we were hit by three
>LL>hurricanes - Hurricane Cindy, Hurricane Katrina, and Hurricane
>LL>Rita. This year the same conditions as in 2005 are present. And I
>LL>just can't wait for the next Big One to come this way...

SA>I hope you miss out - I saw some pics of the Mississippi in flood,
SA>I guess it's heading your way. Our major river (Mighty Murray) is
SA>a stagnant pond, due to the drought. They want us to drink recycled
SA>sewage.

LL> Astronauts on the International Space Station do it all the time.

Yes, well after it's passed its useby date!

>LL>If the Roman government represents a republic, and the angry mob
>LL>represents democracy, then how would a modern world react to the
>LL>second coming of what appears to be the Christ?

>LL>Maybe we will find out soon. In 2012. The Coming of Nibiru.

>SA>Don't know about Nibiru, but conditions for the emergence of Antichrist
>SA>appear to be reaching a climax, with Islam making its move for global
>SA>caliphate (without Israel), and the West bending over backwards to do
>SA>nothing to stop it ...

>LL>The Bush administration seems to have been trying to set itself up
>LL>for a self-fulfilling prophecy - the second coming of Christ. IOW,
>LL>bringing about certain conditions would help hasten the return of
>LL>Christ. The problem with that view is, Antichrist will appear on
>LL>the world's stage in God's time. Not man's time. And so too will
>LL>it be when Christ (and all His angels) returns.

SA>Well, Bush is on his way out, & seems to be a lame duck who can conduct
SA>a "war on terror" while facilitating the rise of Islam
& the fall of the
SA>West. (not that it is all his fault, he had plenty of help from Blair,
SA>the EU, UN etc)

LL> Bush still has time to start a war with Iran and then declare
LL> martial law, thus suspending US elections indefinitely.

Bush apparently is seeking diplomatic ties with Iran, perhaps in the
hope that he can avert the inevitable Ezekiel 38 / 39 invasion of Israel.

Cheers, Steve..
