-> On 10 Jun 06 05:16:14, WAYNE CHIRNSIDE got back to GOD DAN -> -> Re: 6606 -> -> Yeah, I'm sure the odds are better on the slots... Go -> -> for it! -> -> -> BTW, if you do play the slots, play the maximum number of -> -> coins. The big bonus wins only pay out if you do that. -> WC> Walked out of the dog track ONCE having played 4 6 dollar boxes -> WC> and hitting in each race ( two long shot trifectas) and took home -> WC> $4,200 after taxes :-) -> But the jockies rigged the race... Must be really tiny guys on the dogs as I've never seen em OTOH Derby Lane has had a computerized dog blood - urine analyzer for decades but never found anyone to operate it. I'm sure they don't dope the dogs ;-) -> WC> Taken as a whole all my time at te track payed out about $2.10 -> WC> an hour over time so I stopped going years ago as working paid better. -> WC> I kept track of all winnings and losses but didn't factor in gas to -> WC> the track, a small metter it being close and my riding a motorcycle. -> I once bought the track a round of beers! I bought the bar a round of beers that night, several in fact. -> Well, not qite everyone, but it felt that way. There were some 50 or -> more people around me. And, the normal $1.00 beers were $0.15 The -> line was moving slowly. When it was my turn, I ordered 50 beers -> and just started to hand them out to everyone behind me. I'd been bragging on my picks before they hit and was ignored. As I hit four in a row those close by took a great deal more interest but I left the track 4 for 4. No sense being greedy. Many times a hundred or two ahead out the door but only the once in the thousands and only the one time multiple consecutive trifectas. -> As it was, I started with $20. I won every race. And, I bought -> hotdogs as well as beers for everyone after every race I won. I -> went home with $20 bucks, after spending around $200.00 Like I said, I walked in with about $27 dollars and the price of a beer and walked out after 4 races $4,200 up This after cashing out at the payout labelled "IRS" so I knew I'd paid the freight on taxes in advance. Required at the time anyway anything over $600 win. Never been to a casino but was once down 2,500 in a poker game and it took me 36 hours to get back to only $90 down. Last time I ever played poker for money. I'm not good enough. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
