Re forcing a program into Windows Program Manager via editing
PROGMAN.INI ...
Send me a mailing address & I'll send you a disk -- my BBS skills are
pretty crude... e-mail me at Peter.Zicari@Pcohio.com.
My process is simply to create a directory, copy my disk(s) into it,
then to open progman.ini and parse the Groupxx= listings to find the
highest number; then to append a new line saying groupxy= and the name
of a .grp file. It wasn't very complicated, the hard part was finding
time to work on it.
I see there are now more sophisticated ole-oriented components about
that can accomplish the same thing and might be portable to Win95. I
haven't explored Win95's nuts & bolts, so I don't know if there are
equivalent disk files available to tinker with.
good luck ..
