 RT> Hi All...
RT> Anyone recognise this network card?
RT> WD8013EBT 16-bit edge with 15 way connector and BNC
RT> Jumpers are for AUI (what is this?) and thin ethernet
 RT> with an IRQ jumper tag 3 4 5 7 2/9 10 11 15
 RT> A ROM jumper 16K 32K 64K NONE, an address jumper
 RT> C4000 C8000 D0000 with a ROM size jumper (but no
 RT> ROM chip)
RT> It has a network address sticker with 0000C0 7F1307
RT> I've not done any LAN before so what are the 15-way
RT> connector pinouts? Can this be used as a domestic
 RT> LAN card with WfWg3.11?
RT> With thanx from a LAN newbie for any reply...
 RT> Later,
RT> Well, WfWG detects this as a SMC EtherCard Plus 16 with Boot ROM
RT> So guess primary info wanted is: can this card be used with a
RT> "standard" LAN setup using the 15 way AUI connector (and 'spose a
RT> termination is required on the BNC)?
Unless you are going for really long runs, AUI is not very useful
for the normal environment. Use the BNC. I have one of these cards and it
works very well.
RT> Incidentally, doing what I thought was an install with this card,
RT> base memory address D0000 with base I/O port 280 IRQ10, Syschk does
RT> detect alright at the correct IRQ but MSD not.
        Don't worry about it. TTYL
