There was a story on the WGN (Channel 9 Chicago) News last night,
where a female volunteer at a pet care facility, was walking a blind pit
bull (who was being taken care of at the facility) in the alley behind
the building.

  A surveillance camera captured a white car speeding into the alley,
veering to the right to run over the woman and the dog. She was thrown
on the hood, and injured/scraped up pretty bad.

  Sadly, the dog was killed. The clinic is offering a $1000 reward for
information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.
