-=>I distinctly overheard Lora Franklin say to Wanda Guin<=-
Lora:
LF> Don't do too well when my mind and bod are tired.
I know what you mean! Takes twice the time to get half as far...
LF> week. Hey, now, ready for Christmas is great! That big bash of a
LF> birthday party got me in the mood!
You know Christmas is my holiday! I'm ready to start coming up with
some things to do. We ought to get together for a few hours of
crafting and brainstorming! :)
LF> I don't think it works. I think I told you that they wouldn't light
LF> any candles for me, afraid of burning down their house.
That's why I only put 3 candles on "mature" peoples' cakes.
LF> Not that I am aware of....the greatest danger is his sending people to
LF> the foot doctor. Doesn't mind taking a toe or two just any day.
Ooooooooh...look out! :)
-> -> Who is the carrier if you don't mind my asking? We use T-Net,
-> which is -> local also.
LF> Ah, my daughter lives in Horn Lake and she has Bell South Net. It is
LF> $19.95 a month and she likes it fine. This would be local for you.
LF> How is T-Net? Dixie-Net is not too great as it is the sole local thing
LF> in this area and there are too many users and it is hard to get on.
LF> Sort of like the thing with AOL. They need some competition bad.
The T-Net is about $65 a quarter. We've had no problems with them.
I can get the phone number if you want it. Could you not use Bell
South Net?
-> year, and make a bookmark with the date and name on it. Then, Bill
LF> Now, this sounds really neat. It would mean so much to a new
LF> Christian or an old one for that matter. You have so many unique ideas!
LF> I used to make baby blankets (and doll blankets) with one corner
LF> seamed to make a bonnet with a tassel on it. I lined a bright cotton
LF> print with flannel -- they made good baby shower presents.
This sounds wonderful! I know the recipient loved their blanket.
-> What projects are you working on now?
LF> things go for about 18 months, a lot goes wrong and has to be fixed.
LF> I find I work real slow as the old bod has about had it 8:-}
Yeah, I know the feeling. There are a LOT of things I need to tend to
here, before I can even have company. Bill just got a computer for him,
and I got the old one. Yea!! But, I've had to move a bunch of things
from my desk, and don't know where else to put them. Now my whole
room is cluttered with "stuff". I have been going through tons of old
magazines and cutting out recipes and craft sections, so I could throw
out the magazines. I made up file folders for the recipes and crafts
for the sheets to go in. At least I feel like I've done **something**.
Lots more to do! Lots!!
I know exactly what you mean! Our youngest, 21, will be moving in with
us again in a couple of weeks, for I don't know how long. But, I do
enjoy having him around, and like to have his friends over. (I'm a
tree; I can bend!) :)
hope to see you before long,
Wanda
P.S. Have you seen the IMAX? Bill and I will go see it, probably
Friday night. My sister and I are going tomorrow to see the exhibit
at the Pink Palace about the slave-ships We like to see the things
on the past events. I saw the Titanic exhibit, then went to the movie.
It was great. I think the IMAX is about the space program?
