I do...don't tell that to a certain Australian I know who calls Americans,
USAians. All people of the Americas, north and south, are Americans in his
eyes.

AH> After all, just as Jews aren't the only Semites, USAans aren't the

But don't tell them that. Many of our American neighbors refuse to refer
to themselves as anything but their country's name sake, as Americans from
Mexico are Mexicans, Brazil, Brazilians, Canada, Canadians, etc..

AH> but when anyone says "American," people know the word refers to
AH> people in the United States,

Not at all. Many of our Europeon 'friends' refer to us as USAians and not
Americans.

AH> and "America" means the United States,

Wrong again. That may be what we'd like them to think, but they're as
independent about calling us USAians, as you are for calling yourself a
Jew.

 AH> just as "anti-Semite" means anti-Jew.

Wrong. Anti-semite could mean any number of people who're also semite, as
in Palestinian, Jordanian or Iranian.

AH> It seems "anti-Semite" is the only not-totally accurate term with
AH> which a few folks take issue.

It's very inaccurate because Jews seem to think they're the only semites
in the world who are hated by their brother semites.
