I just saw a message that the RCM echo may fall off Fido Backbone
distribution due to lack of traffic. I don't want that to happen.
Please you guys, say something; don't wait for the Car Kids to go
back to school. I hereby apologize for contributing to this
problem by only lurking so I'll make amends with a question and
maybe a thread:
I'm new to RC planes having burned a total of only 1.5 gallons of
fuel in my Tower Trainer 40. Lately I've been practicing touch
and go's and have improved my landing technique to the point that
I only have to straighten the nosewheel strut after every 4th or
5th landing. Unfortunately I augered-in the trainer the other
day so now I'm in the market for another plane. My instructor
suggested I might want to step up to something a bit more advanced
like a Big Stik but I think the Super Sportster looks a lot better
and I don't mind paying the extra $30. I'm acquainted with
taildragger foibles having learned to fly 20 years ago in full
size Taylorcrafts, Cubs, etal. Of course, I'll concede the models
are a lot different. Should I choose prudence with the Big Stik
or vanity with the Super Sportster? Or maybe something else?
When I ask my instructor for advice on the choice he just grins
mischievously and says either one. I rather not invest a lot of
time building (or repairing) it so an ARF is slightly preferred.
