Well.. it wasn't very much input, but it was nice talking about the Allfix
settings.
You have read the docs better than I have. I hate reading docs, so I only
read them when I have to. Allfix works at this end just the way I like it, so
that's why I thougt that my settings were correct :-/

Then it is strange that I have descriptions in my files.bbs that are longer
than 255 chars (for example, a file_id.diz is 477 bytes and it is completely
imported in the description in files.bbs). I only use 1-line descriptions,
because I don't know how to handle multiline desc. with Maximus. Anybody?
That is why..

..I wrote that answer.
I think that Allfix can read only 255 char at a time. When it writes those
lines without a CR, these lines are eh.. put together in 1 line.
So a description line should not be longer than 255 chars.. in file_id.diz or
in the Desc line in a tic file..
In a filefind-reply, Allfix also gives the total description from files.bbs,
even when it is longer than 255 chars (1-line desc).
FS> I've been experimenting and it seems to work the way I've stated above.
Yes, I know that feeling! :-)
