I wonder if it's actually quite common for these white collar criminals to keep records of the real figures so that they are able to pay their taxes correctly without getting in trouble with the IRS. Perhaps there are some cases where it would be worth getting a search warrant and seeing whether a corporation's offices contain incriminating records.
