A couple of days ago I ran a little test on my system, entered a message from 
Max and a Message from TimEd with the computer set to the year 2K
Here's the resulting header :

Note the '1900' in the test field.
Maximus displays this on both messages.
So, while not dying, it certainly doesn't display correctly.
